Tank rolls onto wash location for toy drive

YAKIMA, WA — At last year’s benefit, The Splash Express Car Wash collected more than 300 toys for local children.

YAKIMA, WA — The Splash Express Car Wash here held a toy drive to benefit Toys for Tots last weekend, KNDO reported.

The Dec. 6 story stated that, at last year’s benefit, the wash collected more than 300 toys for local kids. This year, the wash donated $3 to Toys for Tots for every carwash they sold last Saturday.

Wash fundraiser to benefit animal shelter

Marines were also on-site accepting both toy and cash donations. In addition, the Marines brought an Abrams tank and other military vehicles.

"The Toys for Tots people really help people, again, right here in the Yakima Valley and that's something that we really wanna push, is supporting people here in the Yakima Valley," Splash Express Co-owner Burk Morgan said in the story.
