COLUMBUS, Ohio — According to www.abc6onyourside.com, the owners of Hydro-Spray Car Wash on Sawmill Rd. are in a frenzy to replace thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment that thieves drove off with in a packed trailer.
Surveillance video caught the theft, which shows a white Dodge Ram pickup truck drive away with a 7-by-14-foot trailer filled with about $29,000 of mowing and snow removal equipment, the article continued.
“It’s several thousand dollars, we have to spend immediately; we are not even certain we are insured,” said Scott Aliff, owner of Hydro-Spray Car Wash.
The trailer belonged to the business and was locked on the property, the article noted.
The owners believe that the truck used to haul away the trailer was washed at the business an hour before the crime, the article added.
Robert Tucker, who works at the carwash, said he talked with a man who washed the car while someone sat in the front seat, the article stated.
“We had conversations about washing cars,” said Tucker.
