LINCOLN, NE — A Crime Stoppers tip led police to arrest Thomas Stefkovich, 32, for a string of carwash robberies, KLKN reported.
The Oct. 24 story stated that police believe Stefkovich broke into several coin machines at carwashes around the city between July 17 and Sept. 20. The list of washes includes Power Wash and One Capitol Car Wash.
Drug-sniffing dog leads police to carwash
Damage to the machines at the washes is estimated at $16,000, and Stefkovich was arrested for multiple charges including burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
Stefkovich was arrested earlier this month for stealing copper wire from an LES substation.
