BOSSIER CITY, La. — A touchless automatic carwash system deemed surplus will be auctioned off online Monday-Wednesday, Aug. 11-13, according to The Shreveport Times.
Site spokeswoman Melissa Gieringer said in the article, “The Department of Defense will be auctioning off an entire car wash system – minus the actual facility – no longer needed by Barksdale Air Force Base.”
The starting bid is $25 for the equipment manufactured by Oasis Car Wash Systems. The system comes with electrical controls, conveyor parts, spray nozzles, hoses, wall-mounted frame and rinse system, said the article.
Gieringer said the system is in good operating condition and can wash up to 40 cars per hour.
The online auction will start Monday and end Wednesday at 4 p.m.
The buyer will responsible for picking up the system. Previews are available by appointment.
