NEW YORK — While the beverage market as a whole has been doing well lately, the carbonated-soft-drink market is falling behind, according to CSPnet.com.
There have been new additions to the carbonated-soft-drink category, but sales numbers have failed to grow. Over the last 12 weeks, they've have fallen by 2.1 percent.

Other beverage categories have been improving; especially impressive is the gains in the sparkling water category, which is up by 26.2 percent. The bottled water market is up 3.2 percent.
Energy drink sales are also up 8.3 percent, with Monster at a particularly strong 16 percent growth.
