FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Rio Car Wash hosted a charity carwash event at its Fredericksburg locations on Saturday, Sept. 19, according to a press release.
The carwash donated 100 percent of wash sales for a total of $6,396 to Empowerhouse, stated the release.
Empowerhouse, a nonprofit organization, provides confidential domestic violence assistance in Fredericksburg and throughout the counties of Caroline, George, King, Spotsylvania and Stafford, reported the release.
The nonprofit’s services include a free and confidential 24-hour hotline, referrals, information, temporary emergency shelter and advocacy, continued the release.
“We are so pleased with the outcome of this year’s event and the fact that we were able to help such a great cause for a third year in a row,” said Jeff Small, owner of Rio Car Wash, in the release. “Empowerhouse is an organization that we at Rio Car Wash are very passionate about. We are thrilled that this event brought in not only donations, but also more local exposure for Empowerhouse.”
Starting in 1995, noted the release, Rio Car Wash has grown to four locations in Virginia and features state-of-the-art, all soft cloth equipment and premium automotive car care products, offering “a complete range of auto exterior wash services.”
