BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — In the Western U.S., especially in California, and all around the world, communities, cities, states and countries are facing water shortages and drought.
To help battle the dry conditions, many businesses are turning to environmentally friendly and water-saving solutions.
Every week, Professional Carwashing & Detailing editors select a video from around the Web to raise awareness, spread education and/or share fresh ideas from around our industry.
This week’s video, featured on KCRA 3’s website, delves deeper into the depths of the current drought impacting California and how a partnership of 13 carwashes and Sacramento’s Regional Water Authority (RWA) is making a difference.
For Harv’s Car Wash, this difference includes $50,000 of eco-friendly upgrades to reclaim water, which according to the carwash, has cut their water usage in half.
“You might not think carwashes are drought friendly, but you might want to think again,” said Mike Teselle, reporter for KCRA 3, in the video.
