BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Water Works was prepared for a busy weekend because of the nicer weather, according to station WBKO.
The wash has a particularly popular detailing service, which Water Works does in minutes with an organized system.
An employee of Water Works, Corey Aviles, detailed the process, of carwashing which also includes an interior vacuuming before the wash. “Our driver goes on in and catches the car. He sprays all the windows, he wipes the front windshield and the driver’s side windows. We have a window helper. He gets the back windshield and the passenger side windows … The wipers wipe down the outside of the vehicle, the windows, the door jambs and all that. Then you are good to go.”

This time of year is when salt plays a role in demand for washes. Water Works has methods for removing it. They “use a special soap, color shine through the tunnel, hot waxes and stuff that really eats that salt off of cars,” said Aviles.
The days leading up to the weekend were busier than normal, and they anticipated lines of customers. “This winter has been rough on us all. We are ready for t-shirt and shorts weather,” said the Water Works Manager Tony Wells.
