CORAL GABLES, FL — Carwash employee Trinard Snell was shot and killed at a carwash here three years ago and now it looks like his family will be rewarded $5.7 million, CBS Miami reported.
The Dec. 11 story said Snell's mother, Zoreta, filed a lawsuit claiming the carwash's owners did nothing to protect her son and the carwash customers.
The business had apparently had a history of violent crimes.

Snell was sitting under a carwash tent, waiting for the next vehicle when three men came up behind him and tried to rob him and another employee. Snell fled on foot, but was shot and killed while trying to escape.
When asked why she filed the lawsuit, Zoreta said in the story, "I just really don’t want this to happen to another family."
