BRADENTON, Fla. — The newest Wawa location opened in Bradenton on Aug. 20, according to CSPnet.com.
The Bradenton location is the 700th store opening for Wawa, stated the article.
In celebration of the grand opening, the location gave away 700 t-shirts and 700 different samples, including scrambled eggs, doughnuts and fruity frozen drinks, reported the article.
Additionally, the convenience store’s 700th customer received a free gift basket, continued the release, and the location is also celebrating with grand opening specials on sandwiches and fountain drinks, with free coffee through Aug. 30.
Employees and customers also participated in a parade featuring the history of Wawa, added the article, which started in 1803 as an iron foundry in New Jersey.
“We are delighted to mark the milestone of our 700th store chainwide with the Bradenton community,” said Chris Gheysens, Wawa president and CEO, in the article.
The 700th store created 45 new jobs for Bradenton, the article noted.
