NEW CASTLE, Del. — In the annual study by Market Force Information, Wawa Inc. was ranked as the nation’s favorite convenience store, according to The News Journal.
The study polled 7,000 shoppers about their most recent c-store or gas station experience and asked whether they would recommend that c-store/gas station to others, the article stated.
With 68 percent, Wawa earned the highest ratings, the article reported, based on a “composite loyalty store.”
“We are extremely proud to be recognized in the recent Market Force study as America’s favorite convenience store,” said Lori Bruce, a Wawa spokeswoman, in the article. “This is truly a testament to our store associates who create such a wonderful experience for their customers, and we are thankful to our customers for their loyalty and patronage.”
Wawa, a Pennsylvania-based chain, operates 645 locations in six states, the article continued.
QuikTrip, last year’s top choice in the survey, earned a 62 percent score for second place, the article added, followed by Sheetz in third with a score of 59 percent.
Wawa also secured the top ratings for brand reputation, ease of entry/exit and fresh food, noted the article, and the c-store tied Sheetz for good coffee.
