Website Creation Made Easy!

Have you ever looked at your website and said I wish I could change this? Have you found yourself looking to create your own website?

This month’s tip is inspired by a recent project I have been working on. Have you ever looked at your website and said I wish I could change this? Have you found yourself looking to create your own website? I have found, and am using, a simple and effective software program for creating you own website – Weebly.

David Rusenko, Chris Fanini, and Dan Veltri co-founded Weebly in 2006. Rusenko and Fanini both attended the College of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State, while Dan attended the Smeal College of Business, also at Penn State. Rusenko is the youngest recipient of Penn State’s Alumni Achievement Award. The three founders were all 22-year-old students at Penn State when they opened the company. At the time, Penn State required all students to have a Web portfolio. They built on this idea and created software that made it easy for anyone to build a personal site. Coding for Weebly began in January 2006. Weebly announced its invitational beta release in June 2006. The official private-beta launched in September 2006.

Weebly reached 1,000,000 users and released a statement announcing that it had become profitable. Today, Weebly has over 12 million users and powers two percent of the internet. Each month, 12 percent of people in the U.S. visit a Weebly website. Weebly offers a free online website creator. It uses a simplistic widget-based site builder. All of Weebly’s site elements are drag-and-drop. Weebly works with both Microsoft Windows and Mac OS computers. Weebly automatically generates a mobile version of each website.

Weebly offers page design templates for quick starts and users can create custom sites using Weebly’s click-and-drag elements. Elements include RSS feeders, photo galleries, YouTube videos, and Google Maps. The custom HTML click-and-drag element lets users add features that the service doesn’t offer automatically. The site offers more than 100 themes. Weebly lets site owners use their own domain name if one is available. Users can buy a domain name from Weebly or re-direct it from elsewhere. The default site URL is yourname.weebly.com.

Weebly supports basic features for blogging and e-Commerce. Site owners can develop simple stores with payments through either PayPal or Google Check out. Storage through Weebly is unlimited. However, the service restricts individual file sizes. Weebly’s Pro plans start at $2.99 per month. A .com domain registration costs $39.95 per year.

As stated at the beginning of this article I am currently creating a website and have found the process to be easy and user-friendly. If you have always shied away from creating a website now is the time to embrace a new project!

Express washing as we know it today was really born in the south, which historically had been a strong full-service market. The early pioneers of the express format made a bold move to buck the norm of an already successful format, primarily in an effort to reduce labor costs. The effect was having to retrain customers about everything they knew about professional carwashing.
