TUMWATER, WA — Tumwater Auto Spa here, a carwash that partners with Tumwater Automotive, is dedicated to being environmentally friendly, thurstontalk.com reported.
The Dec. 12 story stated that the shop and wash are owned by Brett and Denise Hardcastle, but the carwash is Denise’s baby. “We knew that we would be environmentally friendly because we invested the money up front to do a reclaim system,” Denise said in the story. “85% of the water used in washing a car is reclaimed water from our system. We only use 15% fresh water in any given wash.”
Association promotes tickets for charity washing
The wash is a green certified business and a member of the Puget Sound Car Wash Association. This allows the company to work with local agencies to educate the public about the environmental impact of home washing.
The Auto Spa is also involved with community fundraisers. The business works with local schools and local leaders to give back to the community it serves.
