REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN, CANADA — A stuffed biscuit takeout shop recently opened inside of SUDS Full Service Car Wash here, the Leader-Post reported.
The Nov. 28 story stated that the quirky business model may be the main ingredient that leads to the shop’s success. Over the years, the wash used the space and tried offering food to its customers.
Road concerns delay massive multi-profit business
With the new shop, The Wicked Biscuit, the entire operation is handled by the Layne Schmidt. “This is all I’m doing. I’m not part of the carwash,” she said in the story.
Schmidt noted that the unorthodox location was a natural fit. "I could be downtown with large overhead or in a carwash where I can manage my costs way better. It's a fabulous model — a business within a business,” she stated.
Carwash to replace closed restaurant
So far, the takeout shop has proved popular with a signature soup and stuffed versions of its biscuits. In fact, the stuffed biscuits are selling out almost daily now.
