SOUTH SHIELDS, England — Twenty-six-year-old Michael Haley began his detailing business Auto Clean’n’Gleam in 2008 with town council support and his own money, according to the Shields Gazette.
Haley originally offered a mobile service, gaining customers through word-of-mouth and advertising. In March 2013 he opened a brick and mortar location in an industrial unit, said the article.
Haley remodeled the location to be a state-of-the-art detailing studio.
“The unit was modified completely internally, to create a bespoke detailing studio, which features a temperature-controlled environment, with specialised lighting systems, to ensure vehicles are restored and prepared under the best possible conditions,” Haley said in the article.
High-end vehicles like Ferraris, Aston Martins and Bentleys are some of the cars he works on regularly, and Haley has big plans for the future, noted the article.
Haley has plans to build a new studio in the next two years, and he wants to hire one or two people. He also says he hopes to be an international operation eventually, stated the article.
