Zips Car Wash expands to Winston-Salem

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Zips is pursuing aggressive expansion on the East Coast.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Zips Car Wash (www.zipscarwash.com) is expanding into Winston-Salem with the acquisition of Suds Up Car Wash and Shine Time Express Car Wash, according to a press release.

Both acquisitions took place on Feb. 13th, and the deal also included a third location at 6317 Stadium Dr. in Clemmons, North Carolina, which is currently under construction, the article continued.

“We are aggressively expanding on the East Coast and look forward to getting to know the Winston-Salem community,” said Roger Blackstone, regional difference maker – East for Zips Car Wash. “This is just the beginning of our growth in this part of the country, and we can’t wait to bring the Zips Way — safe, right, fast, friendly service — to the area,” he added.

The company’s newest locations are in the heart of the Winston-Salem community, located at 5211 University Pkwy. and 3910 Oxford Station Way, the release noted.

Zips Car Wash hopes to become a community partner by bringing its Unlimited Wash Club, ZipsCares fundraising initiative and ZipsPerks business partnership program to the area, the release added.

“At every level, the Zips team was professional and confident in the acquisition process,” said Mark Battista, former owner of Suds Up Car Wash. “It is obvious that they have done this before with over 100 locations; however, the most important thing to me was that Zips did what they said they would do from start to finish,” he added.

Other recent East Coast acquisitions include the purchase of Snappy’s Car Wash, which included six operations in South Carolina and Georgia, the release stated.

Zips currently operates four stores in the Asheville, North Carolina, area and 11 stores on Florida’s east coast, the release noted.

This week’s acquisitions bring the company to a total of 112 locations across the country, the release concluded.
