From Zippy’s to Zips

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Zips acquires another Tennessee carwash.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On Thursday, May 18, 2017, Zippy’s Car Wash, located at 994 Parkway in Sevierville, Tennessee, was acquired by the national chain Zips Car Wash, according to a press release.

Zippy’s Car Wash will become the 18th Zips Car Wash in Tennessee and bring the company to a total of 73 operations in nine states, the release continued.

“Eastern Tennessee has become a very strong market for the Zips Car Wash brand, and we are super excited to add this location to our family of express washes,” said Zips Car Wash Executive Vice President Jon Gray. “We hope to provide the same Zips service and care to our newest customers in Sevierville,” he adds.

Zips Car Wash is working to build a team of extraordinary people who work together in a unique, high-performing culture to revolutionize the carwash industry in a way that provides better service, products and quality of care to customers, the release noted, for that is the Zips Way.

While Zippy’s will be rebranded, the minor name change should be an easy hurtle for customers to cross, the release added.

Zips Car Wash will expand hours of operation to 8 p.m. nightly as well as maintain the seven-days-a-week service customers are used to, the release stated.

“We feel we are leaving our business and our customers in good hands,” said Jimbo Conner, former owner and operator of Zippy’s Car Wash. “Zips Car Wash has goals and expectations for its team members that will continue the standard of service we’ve tried to provide to our local residents,” he added.

Customers can expect to see rebranding in the coming months, the release concluded, and the carwash has and will remain in operation during this ownership transition.
