Video of the Week: Preparing customers for winter weather

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Educating customers on the importance of car care during the winter season can help build trust and profits.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Winter is coming, and with it brings a busy season for many car care businesses. From cleaning off leftover snow and salt to making sure tires are fully inflated, this often frigid season will cause numerous car owners to up their vehicle cleaning/maintenance routines.

As owners and operators, educate your customers on the importance of being prepared for the winter season. Make sure they are aware of the problems that may arise, helpful tools to keep on hand, any maintenance needs they should address and any damage or harm that can result from being exposed to harsh conditions. Your customers will thank you, and so will your bank account.

Educating customers will establish trust in your expertise and services. And, it will reassure them that you care, leading to a strong, thriving customer base.

The Professional Carwashing & Detailing editors regularly select a video from around the Web to raise awareness, spread education and/or share innovative ideas from around the industry.

For this week’s video, featured on WYMT/WKYT’s website, www.wkyt.com, Buddy Turner, owner of Turner Brothers Car Care shares a few vehicle maintenance tips to help car owners prepare for the winter season.
