BETHLEHEM, Pa. — According to lehighvalleylive.com, a pickup truck preparing to get a wash at Shammy Shine Car Wash on Nazareth Pike ended up missing the conveyor rollers and instead crashed into the side of the building.
The police said it was unclear what the cause of the crash was — perhaps speeding or a sun glare — but that the driver, identified only as an older male, was probably getting ready to pay for the wash and failed to make it onto the conveyor, the article reported.
The driver, who was the sole person in the truck, sustained only minor injuries and was treated on site, the article stated; no one else was injured due to the accident.
The damaged part of the building has been cordoned off in yellow tape until the extent of the damage can be assessed, the article noted; for now, it is uncertain how much damage the accident caused.
