Multi-profit center undergoes green transformation

KINNELON, NJ — The carwash uses a reclaim system, biodegradable chemicals and LED lighting.

KINNELON, NJ — Route 23 Car Wash underwent a major transformation that allowed the business to conserve thousands of gallons of water, NorthJersey.com reported.

The Feb. 18 story stated that the carwash has been revamped in efforts of going as green as possible. Route 23 Car Wash, along with a couple of other businesses, make up the Auto Care Mall.

Reclaim for the future

The carwash now uses a water reclaim system, biodegradable chemicals and LED lighting. The on-site oil change business and repair shop now recycle their waste oil to heat the businesses as well. Also located on the site are Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Supreme Sound and Dunkin Donuts.

In addition to the green improvements, the carwash updated its interior with a new waiting room and gift shop area. Customers can watch as their car goes through the wash and browse thousands of car accessories.
