MORGANTON, N.C. — Austin Helms, student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan Flagler Business School and founder of Waterless Buddy’s, is considering an expansion into Morganton, according to The News Herald.
Professional Carwashing & Detailing recently featured the student-run business in Carwash eNews. You can find that coverage here.
The carwash cleans customers’ cars without using water, the article stated.
“We use a waterless carwash product that contains a wash-wax-sealant all in one,” said Helms in the article. “You must spray it on and wipe it off with a microfiber towel. It doesn’t scratch the car. We’ve detailed Aston Martins, Tesla Roadsters — you name it. This stuff works; you just have to see it.”
Waterless Buddy’s will set up shop at a local Chick-Fil-A for a test run July 18-25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4:30-7:30 p.m., the article reported.
Services offered will include window and wheel shines as well as full exterior details, the article continued.
The wash will cost $15, the article noted.
