Water Week 2015 to promote safe water policies

WASHINGTON — Professionals will meet with legislators, present innovations and technologies and celebrate progress made regarding water challenges.

WASHINGTON — Water Week 2015 has been planned for April 12-18, according to a press release.

The week is the second year of the event, noted the release, which “provides an opportunity for water professionals to advocate for national policies that advance clean and safe waters in support of a healthy, sustainable environment.”

Participants aim to advocate the value of water for “environmental protection, economic development and job creation,” reported the release. Professionals will meet with legislators, present innovations and technologies and celebrate progress made regarding water challenges.

The event is organized by the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA), the Water Environment Federation (WEF), the Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF) and WateReuse, stated the release.

Notable speakers will give presentations during the event, shared the release. Visitors can also participate in roundtable dialogues with policymakers.
