BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — According to kron4.com, a suspected DUI driver drove a car into a fire hydrant, knocking it off and sending a massive fountain of water into the air, raining down on a used car lot in an unexpected carwash.
Both the driver and passenger tried to flee the scene, but were caught and arrested nearby, the article stated.
Firefighters spent more than an hour attempting to find the shut-off valve, the article continued, all while thousands of gallons of water continued to drench the cars.
No one was injured in the crash, the article added.
