Carwash happy about highway construction?

BIRMINGHAM, AL — One of the detour routes leads rush hour drivers right by a Goo Goo Car Wash location.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A large highway construction project shut down a major stretch of Interstate 20 here, and one carwash worker is actually happy about the traffic, WBRC reported.

The April 10 story stated that the highway shutdown is causing congestion on surface streets, and one of the detour routes leads rush hour drivers right by a Goo Goo Car Wash location.

Road plan paves way for wash/laundromat

Bobby LaPoint at Goo Goo said in the story, "They can get their car cleaned, relax. Who wants to wait in traffic?"

The construction project will close eastbound lanes for about three months. Once that side is complete, the westbound lanes will be shut down. The project will be completed in November.
