KANSAS CITY, KS — A new KC Detailing, which uses the motto, "delivering the details" has opened here, according to a press release.
The Jan. 5 press release said the company, which had been running as a mobile operation, now has a permanent location.
Owner Tim Dodd said starting out as a mobile detailing company allowed them to grow and fine-tune their offerings, although he admitted it did create a few challenges during the winter months.
“We choose to do things a bit backwards,” Dodd stated in the press release. "Instead of starting with a small car detailing shop and later offering mobile services we decided to start by offering only mobile detailing. It certainly presented some challenges during the winter, but it gave us a lot of momentum as our car detailing business grew large enough to then make the move into a quality shop. From an entrepreneurial standpoint it was a great long term idea with short term challenges. And now it’s paid off. We have a top of the line shop and a fleet of vans with a lot of demand.”
Detailer adds mobile fleet service
Dodd said they worked hard to create an enjoyable environment for its customers. The building has skylights, adjustable LED lighting, leather couches, a smart TV and free coffee and wi-fi.
