FALL RIVER, MA — A man accused of murder here allegedly used a carwash to clean up after the crime, SouthCoastToday.com reported.
The Jan. 17 story stated that Hiram Gonzalez, 44, pleaded not guilty to murder, and was ordered held without bail at his arraignment.
Prosecutors explained that Gonzalez allegedly met another man in March 2011 for a drug transaction. Gonzalez then shot the man and pushed the body from the car.
After the murder, Gonzalez visited a carwash and attempted to get rid of the blood evidence in the vehicle. Even so, authorities say they still detected the victim’s blood in the car.
Gonzalez’s attorney stated that there is no proof Gonzalez shot the victim. Gonzalez said in the story he loaned his car to relatives the night of the slaying.
