COIMBATORE, INDIA — After finding success in North India, the Speed Car Wash chain now has plans to open 25 outlets over the next two years in Southern India, The Economic Times reported.
The Oct. 22 story stated that the company entered the Indian carwash market 18 months ago, and 17 units have already been opened. Most of them were opened on a franchisee basis.
Country’s largest chain emphasizes innovation
Speed Car Wash uses a mechanized cleaning concept where cars are cleaned using high-pressure cleaning machines, spray extraction machines, high-powered vacuums and steam cleaners. The wash process reduces water consumption by 60 percent, according to the article.
Currently, the company is in talks with petrol locations and big malls to open carwash outlets on-site. And, in the future, the company hopes to create mobile carwashing units as well.
