TAMPA, Fla. — According to www.wtsp.com, Dwayne McGriff, 31, was arrested in a fatal shooting at a local auto detailing shop.
McGriff has been charged with first-degree murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm, the article continued.
Police reported that at about 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4th, McGriff rode a bicycle to Unique Auto Detailing, where he shot Dave M. George in the parking lot, the article noted.
Officers found the bicycle near the scene, the article stated, but McGriff had already fled.
George was taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries, the article added.
Detectives were able to identify McGriff as the suspect, the article stated, and on Friday, after a warrant had been issued for his arrest, McGriff was found in a vehicle at Tampa International Airport’s rental car area, where he was arrested without incident.
The motive for the shooting is unknown, the article concluded, but McGriff and George knew each other.
