BURLINGTON, NC — A lot formerly in the Gibsonville town lines was voluntarily annexed by Burlington so the property owner could use the lot for a Keep-R-Kleen carwash.
The rezoning was recommended for approval by the Burlington Planning and Zoning Commission according to the Times-News article and will take effect Jan. 1.
Land owner Rex Williams applied the property to be annexed so it could be served by Burlington water and sewer lines.

“I’ve been thinking about [opening] a carwash probably 10 years,” Williams said in the story.
His carwash plan features two laser washes and four self-serve bays.
