BATON ROUGE, La. — According to www.wafb.com, police are investigating the death of Ananya Crawford, 18, who was fatally shot at a carwash in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and authorities are still searching for the gunman.
The police stated that the unknown gunman drove to the carwash, shot Crawford repeatedly in the chest and left, the article continued.
Crawford died at the scene, the article noted.
While police say that the motive for the shooting is unknown at this time, they do believe that she was targeted and that the attack was not random, the article added.
“This young lady’s life was taken at such an early stage of her life. We hate when things like this happen, any shooting we hate when it happens. We know that somebody out there knows what happened. We hope that they come forward,” said Sgt. L’Jean McKneely with the Baton Rouge Police Department.
