MOSES LAKE, WA — The man who walked into the Glass House Car and Dog Wash lobby here last Friday afternoon, stole money from the till and the tip jar, and then exited the lobby and took his car through the carwash, has been caught, the Columbia Basin Herald reported.
The Nov. 8 story said surveillance footage got a good look at the man and his Jeep vehicle and the images were posted online. Since then, tips came in from the public.
In the first story posted by PC&D, it was reported that wash owner Travis Palmer said that no one was hurt or bothered during the robbery and said an employee had left the lobby momentarily when it occurred.
A surveillance photo of the suspect was posted to the wash's Facebook page, which has produced a lot of leads for police. A week later, Alex Tauveve, 49, was booked into Grant County Jail on second-degree burglary and second-degree theft charges for allegedly stealing at least $600 in cash.
