Personnel changes announced for Hydraulic Institute

PARSIPPANY, N.J. — The key staff changes include one long-time employee’s retirement and a new appointment.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. — The Hydraulic Institute (HI) has announced two key staff changes, according to a press release.

HI Technical Director Gregg Romanyshyn will retire April 30, 2015. He has served since Dec. 1999 leading the institute’s extensive standards and guideline writing organization, said the release.

During the past 15 years, Romanyshyn and his team have supported nearly 40 HI technical standards and guideline writing committees, noted the release. Romanyshyn also offered technical guidance and insights into the U.S. Department of Energy pump efficient rulemaking.

Romanyshyn will remain available to HI in a consulting capacity, reported the release.

Peter F. Graydon has been hired as standards engineering director. Graydon will support and develop all aspects of HI’s technical programs, including standards and guidelines, webinars and educational programs, and more, said the release.

According to the release, the mission of the HI is to be a value-adding resource to member companies, engineering consulting firms and pump users worldwide by developing and delivering comprehensive industry standards, expanding knowledge by providing education and tools for the effective application, testing, installation, operation, maintenance and performance optimization of pumps and pumping systems, and by serving as a forum for the exchange of industry information.
