PORTLAND, ORE — Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire at a carwash at a Shell gas station.

According to the KOIN 6 News report the fire was reported at 10:15 p.m. Monday night. Firefighters originally classified the blaze as a two-alarm fire because of its proximity to the gas pumps but they were able to put the fire out quickly and it was downgraded.

Two carwash employees injured following blast

Two people suffered bumps and bruises from falling in the parking lot while escaping the fire.
