Controversial wash finally gains approval

DARWEN, ENGLAND — A carwash location was finally given permission to operate after five years.

DARWEN ENGLAND — The owners of All Clean were given the green light to continue plans given that they improve their leaky drainage system, the Lancashire Telegraph reported.

The Oct. 23 story stated that an application was originally submitted in 2007, but was later canceled without any decision being made.

Carwash/c-store approval includes 19 conditions

Despite all of this, the site operated as a functioning carwash without the knowledge of Darwen Council Planners. After the rogue business was brought to the attention of the Council, members approached All Clean and another application was resubmitted.

Council planners approved the plan last week provided that All Clean would do something about the water and soap rushing into the streets.

All Clean promised they would redesign their leaky system so that all water and soap will stay within the facility and not leak into the road in compliance with the council’s request.
