GALVESTON, TX — Owner Archie Hart planned to open the doors of Island Auto Wash for business here earlier this week, The Daily News reported.

The Oct. 16 story stated that Hart hoped to open the wash on Tuesday morning. Even so, he was still smoothing out some kinks and hoping customers would be forgiving of any minor opening-day issues.

The location operated formerly under the name The Ritz Car Wash, but it closed in early 2012. When Hart took over operation of the wash, he modernized the equipment.

Island Auto Wash will offer services ranging from a basic carwash to full detailing, according to the story.

Three master detailers to be caretakers for vintage cars at car show

ENCINITAS, Calif. — According to a press release, three Master-certified automotive detailers from San Diego County prepped two vintage cars for a car show.

3D Car Care Master-certified detailer Jose Junco with High Performance Auto Detail in Encinitas/North San Diego County, California, Dr. Beasley Master-certified detailer Aldo Alba of ASAP Auto Detail in Rancho Bernardino/Poway, California, and Gloss-It Master-certified trainer Royer Horton of Got Detail in San Diego were at the Petersen Museum earlier this week.
