DALLAS — According to www.dallasnews.com, police are currently searching for a man accused of stealing a Cadillac Escalade from a carwash by posing as the truck owner’s fiancé.
The man came up to the clerk of the carwash in the afternoon, paid for the detailing services and left in the Escalade, the article continued.
Once the owner realized that the Escalade had been stolen, she contacted On-Star, which then disabled the vehicle, the article noted.
The Escalade was located a short distance away from the carwash, but when it was found, the culprit was no longer inside, the article concluded.
