LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Old Town Car Wash, located at 6083 Airline Dr. in Arlington, Tennessee, is now part of the Zips Car Wash family as of April 12, 2018, according to a press release.
This acquisition follows the company’s business expansion plan to grow in existing markets and gives Zips two locations in Arlington, the release continued. Zips Car Wash acquired its 9809 Hwy 64 location in August 2016 from Boomerang Car Wash.
“We are excited to expand in Arlington and greater Memphis,” said Brett Overman, founder and chairman of Zips Car Wash. “Our goal is to become the premier carwash provider in the area, and we feel this acquisition helps us serve more customers with our great carwash service as well as our Unlimited Wash Club plans.”
Zips Car Wash has acquired 14 locations in 2018 and now operates 114 stores in 11 states, the release stated.
With its recent expansions, Zips has developed a New Hire Onboarding team, a Take-Over team and Training Specialists who help with the transition into the “Zips Way,” the release noted.
“Every day, our goal is to grow, improve and help our team members advance in their career,” Overman added. “We’re training new employees each week, and we hope the ‘Zips Way’ model we are setting and the opportunities to advance in our company will become the new trend in carwashing. Working at a carwash is not just a job anymore; we’re helping young men and women start a career in customer service.”
Zips’ newest store will operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and will soon offer its Unlimited Wash Club Memberships, the release concluded.
