Carwash employee attacked in robbery dies

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Three teens assaulted an elderly man in a robbery.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — According to www.wsmv.com, Teddy Cook, 71, died on June 9th after being attacked in a robbery by three teenagers at Super Suds Laundromat and Carwash on May 30th.

Cook was working at the business when the teenagers entered the store and pointed a rifle at him, the article continued.

A struggle ensued, and during the fight, Cook was kicked and hit over the head with the rifle several times, the article noted.

While one of the suspects continued to hold Cook at gunpoint, the other two tipped over a coin-operated game machine and stole an indeterminate amount of money, the article stated; they also stole Cook’s keys before fleeing the business.

Cook was transported by ambulance to a local medical center for his injuries, and he remained in medical care until he died of his injuries on June 9th, the article added.

Clarksville detectives were able to identify and arrest all three male suspects the day after the robbery, the article continued.

Two of the teenagers were 14 years old while the third was 13, the article noted.

The suspects were booked into a juvenile holding facility and have been charged with especially aggravated robbery and theft of a motor vehicle, the article concluded; however, additional charges are expected, given the victim’s death.
