DALTON, Ga. — On the night of Aug. 27th, Dalton Police said a four-year-old boy was badly injured at a carwash, according to a www.newschannel9.com.
Dalton Police spokesman Bruce Frazier said the incident happened a little before 5:30 p.m. at the GooGoo Car Wash on North Glenwood Ave., the article continued.
Police said the boy’s father was in the process of moving his car when his foot slipped and got wedged, causing the car to lurch forward, the article noted, pinning the boy to a steel beam.
The boy is recovering at a Chattanooga hospital with broken bones in his leg, the article added.
According to the article, the boy’s father, 24-year-old Jalen Story of Dalton, was vacuuming the inside of his vehicle when he decided to move his car forward so the vacuum could reach farther.
Story told investigators that with his foot wedged, the car jumped over a concrete stop block and hit his son, the article continued, pinning him against a support beam for the carwash’s roof.
Police said, as of yet, no charges have been filed in the incident, and the crash is still being investigated, the article concluded.
