LUBBOCK, Texas — According to www.statesman.com, Mighty Wash acquired three local Quick Quack Car Wash locations in November and will reopen the first of the three, at 3011 50th St., on March 13th.
The other two locations will open in the next few weeks, the article continued.
Mighty Wash updated the equipment at all three locations, and during the acquisition, Mighty Wash worked to retain the Quick Quack employees who wanted to stay, the article noted.
These employees worked and trained at existing Mighty Washes over the interim period, according to Chief Operating Officer Jay Wyatt.
Two employees of the former Quick Quack Car Wash on 50th St. are looking forward to working at the location again, the article stated.
Anthony Arellano, manager of the location, has years of experience in carwashing, but he had only been with Quick Quack for a few months when the acquisition was announced, the article continued.
Arellano said the transition has been easy and that he is excited about the coming changes, the article added.
“Coming over here has been day and night,” Arellano said. “They’ve given us the tools to be successful. You get the tools, and now it’s up to us to make it a success.”
While Wyatt estimated that the wash will do 300 to 400 washes a day, Arellano is aiming for 500 — and Wyatt said that is the kind of optimism he wants in a manager, the article stated.
Chet Landon, another former Quick Quack employee who is on the maintenance team at the 50th St. location, said that the newly installed equipment — all of which was replaced except for the tunnels — will be able to handle Arellano’s goals, the article reported.
“These guys wanted to do well, they wanted Quick Quack to do well,” Wyatt said. “This is a reset for us, and now we’ll turn it loose with the same set of people, and it will be wildly successful.”
