CERES, CA — The owner of an under-construction Cruisers convenience store and Prime Shine Car Wash has been given permission to put up a 16-foot sign outside the business, The Ceres Courier reported.

The Oct. 9 story said the Ceres Planning Commission voted 4-0 in favor of the sign request. The city has a law stating that no business signs can be over six feet off of the ground.

Evan Porges of Prime Shine, stated that the sign would be attractive and will allow for better landscaping and not block otorists' visibility.

The new business, which is being built on the site of an old Barbour's Save Center, is slated for completion on Nov. 1.
