Google launches page to help small businesses

CLEVELAND — The new Google Helpouts page is a way for small businesses to connect and find needed services, according to Small Business Trends.

CLEVELAND — President Obama proclaimed this to be “National Small Business Week” on Monday, and Google has decided to launch its Google Helpouts page to coincide with this event, according to Small Business Trends.

Google Business Community has more than 8,000 members, and it can be joined by anyone who has signed up for a Google+ profile.

Using hastages like #SmallBusinessWeek and #SmallBusiness, are great ways to increase networking on the site, the blog notes.

There is also a special Helpouts page for small businesses. A web-cam or front-facing camera is needed to use this page, which the blog notes offers users the ability to connect with consultants on topics like YouTube, website reviews and QuickBooks. The price for the calls ranges from free to a per minute or hour fee.  

There is a special offer in the “About this community” page this week for $20 off for a consultation with an expert.
