The March 13 story said for $29,500 people can purchase the AutoGreenWash and then have it installed in their garage for an additional $4,000.

The wash lowers a "waterproof enclosure around your vehicle. Forty-eight computer-controlled rotating sprayers then wash and rinse your car before drying it with warm, filtered air. And if that wasn't enough, the system even captures used water for home irrigation," the story said.

Retter said in the story, "We have a couple people on a wait list but they're all outside of the Phoenix area. We want to install the first ones in Phoenix, so we're looking to try and do that now."

And, even though it's expensive, Retter said he thinks it will one day be as common as a household dishwasher. "…we want to start out as the luxury device, then as the price comes down over the years, we want it to become a standard device that the average homeowner will have," Retter said in the story.

We here at PC&D are wondering, do you think this will be a threat to commercial carwashes?
