BREVARD, N.C. — The United Way of Transylvania County (UWTC) Board of Directors washed cars at White Squirrel Car Wash as part of its Great Bank Challenge 2015 fundraiser, according to Transylvaniatimes.com.
The board members cleaned the vehicles of First Citizens Bank employees after 100 percent of them pledged participation and the highest amount to United Way, noted the article.
White Squirrel Car Wash and Team Hawkins Detail stepped up to offer the board a way to wash the cars, stated the article. The companies contributed a full-serve wash package plus coupons to the UWTC 60th anniversary auction a few weeks ago.
