Mark VII celebrates 50th anniversary
ARVADA, Colo. — Mark VII Equipment Inc., the North America subsidiary of WashTec AG of Germany, is commemorating its 50th year in business, according to a company press release.
Founded in 1966, Mark VII was one of the pioneers of automatic carwashing and is a market leader in soft-touch, touch-free and hybrid wash systems, added the press release.
“We’re proud of our history as an innovator in the carwash business,” said Chris Andersen, CEO of Mark VII, in the press release. “It’s a testimony to our people, products and customer focus that we’ve reached this milestone and continue to be an industry leader.”
According to the press release, the anniversary events feature guest appearances by Mark VII’s founder Harry Matthews, Arvada mayor Mark Williams, and the executive team of Mark VII’s German parent company WashTec.
Gerber Collision & Glass opens new repair location
CHICAGO — The Boyd Group Inc. recently announced the opening of a collision repair center in Statesville, North Carolina, according to a press release.
The center previously operated as Black’s Collision Repair and served a six-brand dealership group, noted the release.
The location is in central North Carolina and it is about 40 miles north of Charlotte.
“We are very pleased to add this center which has served Statesville and the surrounding community for over 40 years,” said Tim O’Day, president and COO of the Boyd Group’s U.S. operations. “It increases our presence in the Charlotte region and is also in close proximity to our centers in the Winston-Salem area. With 28 locations, we have established a statewide presence in North Carolina and grown to become a leading provider of collision repair services.”
The Boyd Group is continuously looking to add new collision repair locations to its existing network in Canada and the U.S., continued the release.
