MOSHEIM, TN ―A truck got stuck inside of a carwash here and now it looks like reason is the driver might have been intoxicated at the time, a timesnews.net reported.
The May 2 story said John Kelly drove the oversized truck into a bay at the Parkway Car Wash around 10:47 a.m. on Monday. However, the truck did not clear the roof structure and it damaged the ceiling and got stuck. After police arrived, they had to deflate the truck’s tires in order to remove it from the bay.
Police then learned that Kelly had driven erratically prior to pulling into the carwash and had struck a guardrail. They later found out that he was more than likely intoxicated.
Kelly was then arrested and is due to appear in court today. The damage he caused the carwash is estimated at $10,000.
