Wash owner caught without TV license

BRISTOL, ENGLAND — The hand carwash owner had to pay a hefty fine for operating a broadcast television on the premises.

BRISTOL, ENGLAND — The owner of a hand wash here was ordered to pay 665 pounds after he was caught without a TV license, thisisBristol reported.

The Oct. 16 story stated that SA Hand Car Wash’s Owner Shabaz Saied did not have a license. The fine was the largest part of the payment, but costs and a victim surcharge were part of the total.

Any businesses here that shows television as it is being broadcast, whether for customer or staff use, must be covered by a valid TV license.

Businesses found guilty are also required to buy a TV license at 145.50 pounds, or they face a second prosecution.
