VILAS, N.C. — According to www.hcpress.com, an accidental acceleration at the Ride With Pride carwash led to a terrifying scene at a creek.
On Feb. 19th, Natalie Watson Jones, 41, reported that she was driving her 2012 Jeep through the automatic carwash when her dog got nervous and jumped from the backseat towards her feet, causing her to accelerate, the article continued.
Her Jeep plowed through the guardrail behind the carwash and speeded down an embankment into a creek, where it stopped, the article noted.
According to the accident report, an estimated total of $18,000 in damage was done to the Jeep, and it was not considered drivable, the article added.
Jones was uninjured and out of the vehicle before police arrived at the scene, the article concluded.
