PHOENIX —Danny’s Family Car Wash Owner Daniel Lewis Hendon is asking a judge to postpone his Oct. 20 sentencing until at least April, according to myfoxphoenix.com.
Hendon’s attorney says his client needs to divest himself of business interests before the sentencing, and he says investigations into the business have not been completed, stated the article.
The carwash chain reached a settlement in July 2014 when it was indicted of hiring nearly 900 undocumented workers, then covering it up. Hendon admitted to turning a blind eye to the practice, noted the article.
A judge will consider the request on Aug. 25.
