ST. Louis — Bob Dubinsky, president of Waterway Gas and Wash, is expecting a 25 percent increase in sales from same period last year, thanks to storms in the area last week.
On an average day, his eight carwashes would employ 15 to 20 workers, but after the storm, that number rose 50 percent, to 30 to 40 employees, according to the article.
“I feel like a florist on Valentine’s Day,” said Dubinsky. “It’s fun. We go out of our way to scale up our services the best we can.”
Another carwash owner in the area, Richard Rutledge, said he does not prefer “big storms.” The last storm shutdown his business, and he prefers storms that create snow, but not to the same level as the last storm.
